Earl Sewell's visit to the Illinois Youth Center in Warrenville was a big success!! IYC is a prison for girls ages 13-21. Due to the generosity of the folks at Kimani TRU, we received 30 complimentary copies of Earl's book Keysha's Drama. The girls read the book and came on 11/4 to hear Earl speak about his life, experiences, books, and ideas. He even did a dramatized reading from the book, which was hilarious!! Earl was kind enough to sign copies and talk to the girls afterward. The girls have already asked to read more books in the Keysha series, which we will be doing in our monthly book club. Thanks to everyone who attended and who made this wonderful event possible!
